We provide a united voice for the primary producers in the Bundaberg region
Our region boasts a range of produce unparalleled anywhere in Australia and our growers are at the heart of its economy.
Bundaberg is the tomato and macadamia capital of Australia and avocado, zucchini, squash, cucumber, capsicum, chilli, sweet potato, strawberries, snow peas, lychees, melons, pineapples and beans all grow abundantly. Trawlers bring in reef fish, scallops, bugs, prawns and spanner crabs unlike any others and the mud crabs are full of flavour. Bundaberg hosts an established aquaculture industry and our meat, pork and beef are world-class. Our local flowers and herbs add colour to the district plus the Bundaberg region is the only place where the entire range of sugar production activities occur – growing, milling, refining, research and distilling.
In addition, the Bundaberg primary production sector is also supported by an established range of large-scale food processing and value-adding facilities.
