The Bundaberg economy
The Bundaberg economy is worth $8.2 billion dollars and local agribusiness contributes approximately $2 billion dollars toward this:
- $1.28 billion dollars from Agriculture forestry fishing - 15.5% total region production
- $686 million from Food & beverage manufacturing and value-adding or 8.3% total region production
The Bundaberg region has changed from a focus on monoculture cane farmers to growing approximately 145 different crops.
That is why we formed the Bundaberg Agriculture Food and Fibre Alliance in 2022.
The beginning of BAFFA

To become a Commodity Member you must have your ABN registered in the Bundaberg Regional Council footprint, otherwise, there is provision for Affiliate or Supporter Members.
